Who is responsible
The controller of any personal data collected through this site is liberdadedeescolha.org, reachable through the contact page.
What the form collects
The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a subject and a message. Nothing else is requested, and no field is used to profile a reader.
Why, and on what basis
We use what you send only to read your message and reply to it. The basis is your consent, given by ticking the box, together with our legitimate interest in correcting and improving the guide.
How long it is kept
Correspondence is kept while an exchange is open and for up to twenty-four months afterwards, so a correction can be traced back to its source. After that it is deleted.
Server logs
The hosting provider records standard technical logs — IP address, request, time, user agent — to keep the site running and secure. These are short-lived and are not combined with anything else.
No tracking
There is no analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no third-party cookie and no fingerprinting. The site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser: the single script on the site opens and closes the navigation menu, and does nothing else.
Hosting and processors
The site is served by a hosting provider acting as a processor under contract, and email is handled by a mail provider on the same basis. No data is sold, rented or shared for marketing.
Transfers
Where a provider processes data outside your own country, that transfer relies on the safeguards recognised by the applicable data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You may ask for access to your data, for a copy of it, for correction, for erasure, for restriction of processing, or you may object to it. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, without affecting what was lawful before. Write through the contact page and we will answer within one month.
Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the data protection supervisory authority where you live or work.
